Marriage and Family Ministry

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything accordingto His will, He hears us."

This verse is a true foundation to the building of Marriage and Family Ministry here at Calvary Chapel Warwick, as the workbegan with 2 men's burden to see our marriages and families lifted up in prayer before the Lord. Our belief rests on this truth: "...withGod all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26) Whatever your situation, God is waiting to meet you right where you are. And, if it looksimpossible to you, take rest in this - Nothing is impossible with God - God is approachable - and - He hears us! This is why the foundationto our Marriage and Family Ministry is our prayer time.

While we continue to seek the Lord's vision for us, we have begun our ministry with the following four areas of focus:

Marriage and Family Prayer: This is the underlying foundation to our ministry. We meet once a month to lift all the families of our churchfellowship up in prayer. Directed prayer is also offered for specific needs as they come up. The meeting generally begins with a short Bible study on a family focused topic. This meeting generally takes place on the second Tuesday of each month. Please listen for details and date changes.

Family Fellowship: We try to offer a variety of family fun activities from time to time. During the months of April through October, wehave family fellowship time at Beavertail Park on Jamestown. This usually takes place on the first Tuesday of the month. We meet for a timeof dinner together, while fellowshipping through sunset. You will be blessed both by the family fellowship and the spectacular views theLord created in this special seaside location. Please listen for details and date changes.

Adult Fellowship: We also try to offer one adult fellowship night during the course of each month. Most often, we find a night out to a localrestaurant provides a great time of fun and relaxation. These are very good opportunities for all involved to meet new people we might not get to meetotherwise. The third Tuesday of each month is the general rule for this night out. Meeting at 6:30pm and sharing through approx. 8:00 - 8:30pm is the usual time frame.

Bible Based Study Time: Lastly, we offer a monthly study night which is Bible based and geared specifically towards marriage and family issues. At present, we are working our way through "Your Family - God's Way". This study is designed to bring us to a clearer understanding of God's design for our homes, and how we so desperately need to rely upon Him. Through the study we will be looking at the roles of "Husbands & Fathers", Wives & Mothers", then moving on into areas of God directed communication and family dispute resolution.Ê These study times are geared towards discussion of situations we all face. They are a great time of Biblical study and application. The fourth Tuesday of the month is the standard night for this study. Please listen for location and date changes.

With all our different types of meetings, we wish to provide a safe, welcoming atmosphere, and an opportunity to direct all who attend to seekJesus in every aspect of their marriage and family life. Our firm belief is that He holds all the answers, and the power, to meet every one of our needs.
